Fucking Cocksmugglers
So, remember that cool apartment I was happy about getting in Hollywood, not far from the main strip, right across from the Scientology Celebrity Center? Yeah, well..

THE GODDAMNED COCKSMUGGLING SCIENTOLOGISTS BOUGHT IT

In a few days, they'll be delivering a notice for us all to vacate the premises within 60 days, to make room for their goddamned cocksmuggling mindless drones. On the plus side - they're required by law to pay us at least $2,000 per apartment. That was the rate the Gov't decided was needed to find a new place --- back in 1987. However, on July 5th, that rate goes up to $3,000. So, hopefully they won't be very timely in their filings, so I don't have to scrape the barrel to get out of here.

I would say more, but I don't want to risk legal action, or the positive effects that I'm hoping will ensue by being tight-lipped.

That happened to my buddy Angelo. He lived in these awesome apartments on Sycamore between Hollywood and Highland (I think). They bought that shit right on up.

Odd. Some of the people who were at the apartment meeting last night said they had friends in that same complex. It's a damn shame, really.

I wouldn't mind so much if this was a company buying up apartments to house their employees - because then it's just hard-working people trying to make an honest living and furthering their lives. But, as it stands, this is to be a barracks for mindless drones that are pumping endless funds into a cult whose only purpose is to extort the maximum amount of funds (and work) out of those who can afford it (and, of course, time/work from those who cannot). It's a negative, self-perpetuating machine cult. That's what bothers me.

on the upside, you're a bloody superb web designer.

*sighs at the fruitlessness of this month's endevours*

fuck.

but anyway, just be glad scientoligy is a sham - otherwise they'd be able to wish you away. Ah, man's lust for power will never fail us. i wish there was a way for me to tap that greed without morally killing myself.

Well, thank you for your design compliments. I'm not sure what you've seen of my work that would give you the impression that I'm altogether "great" at it - but I will say that I've only recently started to make standards-compliant sites and push the limits of CSS. As a result, my designs have been getting (if I do say so myself) MUCH better, and I'm a lot more proud of my work. That's good in more than one way, as I was starting to get sick of designing sites, sick of the whole thing, just.. burned out. Now, I've kind of got a second wind and I can actually enjoy it more. Look for a 100% standards-compliant, theme-switchable AngryMF.com in a few months (depending on how much time I can devote to it).

But, you're not fruitless in your endeavors. You've got a good thing going, I like your style. Perhaps I'll even have you come up with one of the theme options on AMF when I've got it all put together well enough. If you're interested, that is. And, yes, credit will be given to you for whatever CSS you put in there and its accompanying graphics.

As for this scientology crapola... yeah, fuck 'em.
One day this will come back at them. I hope.
I think it will, though. You can only bully people around for so long.
But then, I've been waiting for Catholicism to die out for 25 years and I've seen no sign of that happening, either. At least people are a little more weary of priests - so we are making some headway.

hey, i'd love to make a theme for angrymf.com. Right now i'm trying to build from square one - not to get any bad habits, so that means constant study of the rules of CSS. It's cool, though, no doubt about it. So much more complex than tables, though. At least at this stage.

I have photoshop cs and golive cs, if you'd like anything, let me know. :-) Thanks for the encouragement, too.
